Welcome to Moss and Co, an independent family-owned hospitality group. We have been running gastro pubs across Suffolk and Norfolk for the past decade. Each of our establishments has its own unique style, providing the perfect venue, no matter what the occasion. So, whether you’re looking for a quiet pint; a buzzing night out with friends; a private family party or an intimate diner for two. we’ve got it covered. 

Provenance is one of our core values. Wherever possible, we source our ingredients from local producers and suppliers, supporting the local community and celebrating the best of Norfolk and Suffolk.

Our Story

David & Lisa Moss took over The Commodore pub in Oulton Broad. A million pound refurbishment followed and Moss & Co was formed with a small team of 22.

2014
The Village Maid in Lound joins the Moss & Co family. A cozy gastro pub.
May
2017
The Waveney in Oulton Broad became part of the group as a sports and music bar. Sold in 2021.
June
2019
100th employer joins the team.
July
2021
Mossy’s Club is opened above the Harbour bar as Lowestoft’s premium late night music venue. Named after David Moss’s first Colchester pub opened the 1980’s.

2011
The iconic Jolly Sailors in Pakefield was acquired and restored to its former glory with sea views that can’t be rivalled. The expansion of the Moss & Co brand begins.
April
2016
The Bell In in Carlton Colville is acquired.
June
2018
The Angel in Wangford is Moss & Co’s first venue offering accommodation. The 18th century Inn was carefully restored with an intimate bar and restaurant located just a stone’s throw away from Southwold
December
2019
The Harbour bar is opened with FUP Burger running the kitchen. The bar serves cocktails and over 50 different beers.
October
2021
The busy year continues with the opening of the Queens Head at Thurlton. The groups first venture into Norfolk, sees the village deservedly getting its pub back.
